POLKA DOTS!!!! AHHHHH! I LOVE this month's blog hop theme!! Who doesn't love happy li'l polka dots? Seriously! Not only are they cheerful and playful, but my OCD loves how they are perfectly spaced. *happy sigh*
You should have hopped here from Lisa's Blog. Ugh. She is so amazing. Love her blog!
If you need to head back to the mothership, head on over to DeNami Design's blog.
Now, it's time for my project. So many ideas! This idea popped into my head while I was in bed the other night. I couldn't sleep so I decided to try and come up with blog hop card ideas. I just adore the Medium Dot background stamp, so I figured that would be my background (seen below using Pearlescent Coral ink by Brilliance on top of DeNami's red cardstock). But...what stamp should I use as the focal point of my card? Well, I love the Garden Bouquet stamp, but I haven't used it yet, and I got inspired to do some fussy cutting and layer those flowers to make them pop! Well, before I knew it, I fell asleep, and I totally forgot about my plans until BAM! This afternoon (I'm writing this on Wednesday), I remembered my idea and decided to get down to it and make it happen! Here's the finished product:
Here's a close-up of the flowers. I layered each flower with 3 layers. The middle layers were all adhered at an angle to give the flowers a fuller look with more petals. I used the Large Dot Circle stamp around the bouquet, and finished off the image with a puffy satin bow from May Arts ribbon (I used some of the Pearlescent Coral ink on the bow so the color would blend in better with the rest of the card.). Oh, and no flower is complete without a glittery center (Gotta love Stardust glitter pens!), am I right?
Here's a side angle view so you can see all the dimensions. You can also see how I added some dots to the frame around the sentiment. The frame is sitting on top of some gorgeous washi tape by Queen & Co.
All stamps used are by DeNami Design.

Your pearl polka dots really pop on the red cardstock. Love how you did your flowers. They too really stand out and look so full.
This is such a bold and colorful card! It is beautiful. The popped up flowers are fantastic and it is good to know the garden bouquet fits in the polka dot circle. Great job!

First off, Amy, I think YOU are amazing!!! Secondly...I, too, think about card ideas when I can't sleep! HA!! And finally----fantastic card!!! LOVE the polka dots in the background and those layered flowers are AWESOME!!!
Amy this is so lovely! Love the backdrop, and your 3D flowers look so beautiful on the scalloped background, add in the sentiment is the perfect touch! :D
SHUT UP! If this is what you come up with when you can't sleep, I want some of your insomnia girl!! Look at that bow!!! I had to enlarge the photo just to be sure what I was looking at was REAL! I love that you made three layers for the flowers too...brilliant idea to turn one of them to add dimension and "extra" petals. I think I NEED that washi tape too...*swoon*
You rocked this hop Amy, and I love this card! (knowing that I despise the color red as as much as I do, that's saying a LOT!)
