My First Video Haul!!!

I have never posted a video before on my blog, and something inspired me to record myself opening my package from DeNami Design. It just arrived today, and I couldn't wait to open it! Please excuse the overall poor quality of this video. I am trying to hold my phone in one hand while grabbing stuff with the other hand. It is a mess, but hopefully a fun and entertaining mess.

I just love DeNami Design!

DeNami Design's February Blog Hop: POLKA DOTS!

POLKA DOTS!!!!  AHHHHH!  I LOVE this month's blog hop theme!!  Who doesn't love happy li'l polka dots?  Seriously!  Not only are they cheerful and playful, but my OCD loves how they are perfectly spaced.  *happy sigh*

You should have hopped here from Lisa's Blog.  Ugh.  She is so amazing.  Love her blog!

If you need to head back to the mothership, head on over to DeNami Design's blog.

Now, it's time for my project.  So many ideas!  This idea popped into my head while I was in bed the other night.  I couldn't sleep so I decided to try and come up with blog hop card ideas.  I just adore the Medium Dot background stamp, so I figured that would be my background (seen below using Pearlescent Coral ink by Brilliance on top of DeNami's red cardstock).  But...what stamp should I use as the focal point of my card?  Well, I love the Garden Bouquet stamp, but I haven't used it yet, and I got inspired to do some fussy cutting and layer those flowers to make them pop! Well, before I knew it, I fell asleep, and I totally forgot about my plans until BAM! This afternoon (I'm writing this on Wednesday), I remembered my idea and decided to get down to it and make it happen!  Here's the finished product:

Here's a close-up of the flowers.  I layered each flower with 3 layers. The middle layers were all adhered at an angle to give the flowers a fuller look with more petals.  I used the Large Dot Circle stamp around the bouquet, and finished off the image with a puffy satin bow from May Arts ribbon (I used some of the Pearlescent Coral ink on the bow so the color would blend in better with the rest of the card.).  Oh, and no flower is complete without a glittery center (Gotta love Stardust glitter pens!), am I right?

Here's a side angle view so you can see all the dimensions. You can also see how I added some dots to the frame around the sentiment.  The frame is sitting on top of some gorgeous washi tape by Queen & Co.

All stamps used are by DeNami Design.

Your next stop is Jennifer's blog!  I can hardly wait to see what she makes for today!  She has truly wowed me with some of the past hops!

Thanks for stopping by today!
