Crafts: Act 1, Scene 4: DeNami Design Theme Challenge #3: Happy Birthday!
It's time again for another fabulous DeNami Design challenge! This challenge has a THEME: Happy Birthday! I was really excited to create a card using some incredible new stamps I recently bought as well as some new products. Take a look: I REALLY had a great time making this card. For one, I used my absolute favorite colors: green & blue! Plus, I definitely used the unofficial motto of my favorite craft store, Papertrix: "More is more!" I just couldn't resist adding bling all over this card! Also, I really love continuing the decorations onto the inside of the card, as you can see from the above picture. The wreath and flower stamps I used are from DeNami Design's newest collection. Make sure to check out their site. Their stamps are the BEST! Plus, here's a fun tip for you: All the ribbons used on this card were white....until I colored the wider, fuzzy ribbon blue by using my Copic markers. Isn't that fantastic? You can use Copics for EVERYTHING! Love 'em! I'm only 37 colors shy of owning every single Copic Ciao color! I can't wait to complete my collection! Thanks for checking out my blog, and let me know what you think! Plus, stay tuned. My newest show at Coachlight Musical Theatre opens this Friday, so check back for information about Brown County Bandstand! Supplies used: Stamps: Elegant Floral Wreath, Elegant Floral Solid Flower, Elegant Floral Blossom, For You, and Happy Birthday (all by DeNami Design) Inks: Memento (Tuxedo Black) & Brilliance (Sky Blue & Lime) Cardstock: Pearl (Darice) & Polka Dot paper (K & Company) Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Stickles, Ice Stickles, Copic Markers, Assorted Ribbons (colored using Copic markers), Adhesive Pearl. If you have any questions about specific colors or products used, feel free to ask!

Last Minute Addition: 2nd DeNami Product Challenge Entry
It's down to the wire, but I wanted to enter one more card into the current DeNami Design Product Challenge #3 (see previous post for more info). This card was made a few months ago, but I felt that it would be perfect addition to this challange. What I really enjoyed about this card is combining a great DeNami "Mimi" stamp with adorable paper, and plenty of glitter! Also, I decorated the inside of the card as well to keep the theme going from cover to cover! I've got to publish this right now, though, because the contest is about to end! Eek! Wish me luck!

Crafts: Act 1, Scene 3: DeNami Product Challenge #3: GLITTER!
I'm so excited to enter the new DeNami Product Challenge: GLITTER! I LOVE using glitter on my cards! It always adds that extra "WOW" factor. When it comes to glitter, I used to think that all glitter was the same. However, I have to admit, I've been proven wrong recently. I now have two favorites: Stickles glitter glue by Ranger and Sparklets by DeNami Design! I love Stickles because they are a easy to use, and they come in a range of colors. Plus, unlike other glitter glues, they get even more vibrant when they dry. My obsession has led me to own every single color in their regular line, as well as the Distress Stickles and Glitz Stickles. I recently became aware of Ice Stickles, which have "Aurora Borealis highlights." These are a little chunkier than the other Stickles, but the result is simply STUNNING! Check them out! Also, as I mentioned in a previous blog post, I won a giveaway from DeNami Design which included several adorable stamps, a quickie glue pen (a MUST HAVE!), white Fun Fluff, and Sparklets glitter. I knew that DeNami sold glitter, but I had never tried it. Wow! I was missing out! I have to admit, this is not your average, every day glitter. It is truly extra sparkly! I used the Misty Blue Sparklets glitter as an accent on the card below, and I really think it pops. I can't wait to get my hands on more Sparklets glitter! Now, on to my first entry! A good friend of mine just got married, and I knew I wanted to make an extra special card for her. Her wedding colors were Watermelon and Rose Petal (every time I hear that, I think of Steel Magnolias: "My colors are Blush and Bashful." "Your colors and pink and pink!" Classic!). The colors actually were beautiful, though. The whole wedding was gorgeous, and I was honored to sing during the ceremony. It was a truly special event, and I wanted to create a mini-tribute to it in card format. I'm really proud of how this turned out. Please take the time to actually click on the photo so you can better see the details! I'm still learning about blogs, and I haven't figured out yet how to make the photos the size I want. Fun tips: Use Diamond Glaze on the present to make the wrapping paper look like it has a glossy finish! Add dimension to your cards! I used mounting foam to make the rose arch pop. Also, I double stacked some mounting foam under the center of the present to make it stick out further, and then I used small Zots to adhere the corners of the present. This gives a rounded 3D effect, which I love! Enjoy! Supplies: Stamps: Rose Arch, Wedding Gift, Rosevine Cluster, and Congratulations (DeNami Design) Ink: Tuxedo Black and Rose Bud (Memento) Paper: The Paper Company and misc. scraps Embellishments: Diamond Glaze, Stickles, Ice Stickles, and assorted glitters (including Sparklets and Martha Stewart)
