DeNami Design's April Blog Hop: MONOCHROMATIC!
- It's just a lovely thing to do. It always makes my day to read comments from people who have read my blog. It's a short, simple way to spread smiles and joy!
- You could win a prize! As if spreading joy isn't enough of a prize, you could actually win a gift certificate to DeNami Design's incredible online store. They've got HUNDREDS of amazing stamps, as well as delectable ribbons, the most shimmery glitter you've ever seen, and sooooo much more! Plus, read at the bottom of this posting for another chance to win!
Green and blue are my favorite colors, but I wanted to go for something different and springy, so I chose PINK! Recently, the ever-talented Michele Gross posted a fantastic discovery. She layered the Harlequin Border stamp on top of itself, creating an argyle-like look. I totally FLIPPED over that, so I decided to give it a whirl. It's hard to see because I used such a light pink for the second layer, but if you look closely, you can see it.
I had a blast with this card. Originally, I wanted the tiered edges of the Harlequin Border stamping to show, but at the last minute, I just HAD to use the ribbons. Oh, and I'm addicted to masking now, which is how I stamped the polka dot border across the middle. I just LOVE to learn new things. If you ever come across a new technique that makes you squeal with delight, please let me know about it! Send me an email or simply leave a comment on my blog.
