Christmas Cards-a-Plenty!

Here's another Christmas card that I made recently! Again, I used an older DeNami Design stamp (a fabulous ornament), and I created my own background paper using their Harlequin Border and a fabulous VivaDecor Pearl Pen! Plus, the textured foil papers add even more bling! Lastly, doesn't the DeNami Sparklet Glitter on the ornament really sparkle? I love that stuff!
Check back again soon for more Christmas cards! The Christmas Frenzy Continues...

I'm having so much fun creating Christmas cards. The inspiration is flowing like hot cocoa on a wintry day! The timing is really perfect, too, because DeNami Design currently has a Theme Challenge, and guess what the theme is? CHRISTMAS! Check out their blog for more information.

So, the card I'm sharing with you today was made with an "oldie, but goodie" DeNami Stamp: the Christmas Quilt Frame. I fell in LOVE with this stamp when I saw it. The possibilities are endless! Plus, I think the sentiment and the polka dots in the middle really keep this card cute and cheerful! Oh, and I also used some of my favorite products: Stickles! Check out how the Distress Stickles on the stocking give it a velvety texture!
Thanks for reading my blog! Amy

Limited Engagement: HOLIDAY CARD FRENZY!

October has been busier than ever for me with performances almost every night of the week at Coachlight Musical Theatre, but I'm so inspired to make holidays cards that I can't help but find time (usually in the midde of the night when I can't sleep). As usual, most of my cards feature the incredibly fabulous stamps of DeNami Design. Their stamps are just awesome, esp. their holiday stamps. So, over the next couple of months, I will continue to bring you my HOLIDAY CARD FRENZY! One of my favorite things about Christmas is getting a real tree. I love selecting the PERFECT tree, loading it up, and setting it up in my apartment, assuring that my home will smell like heaven for the weeks/months to come. This card perfectly sums that up, in my opinion. Plus, I just purchased a fantastic new tree border punch (by EK Success), and the road was partly inspired by Ayana's adorable Chickies on a School Bus card. Seriously, that card is PRECIOUS, and I'm always inspired by Ayana's blog. Check her out! Without further ado, here's my card:

Special Engagement: DeNami Design's October Blog Hop: AUTUMN

It's time for DeNami Design's October Blog Hop! The theme this month is Autumn. Hopefully, you've hopped your way here from Tammy Hobbs' wonderful blog Creating Somewhere Under the Sun. You can also start from the beginning of the Blog Hop at DeNami's blog. See below for the next stop!

For my card, I really wanted to make use of the Cornstalks stamp I recently bought. Living in Indiana, I see A LOT of corn, but none of it is quite as cute as this adorable stamp. I love creating 3D cards that pop out at you, and I wanted to give the impression of rows and rows of corn. I also used several other fantastic DeNami stamps. I even created my own bale of hay! I drew it, cut it out, colored it with Copic markers, and then covered it with Distress Stickles. It really does look like hay!
Supplies:
Stamps: Cornstalks, Hi! (from Everyday Greetings Petit Four set), Puppy (from Playful Puppies Petit Four set), Single Leaf (from Autumn Petit Four set), Two Leaves (from Classic Leaves Petit Four set)

Ink: Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, Tangelo, Desert Sand, Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves (Memento)

Paper: Kraft Brown, Orange, White (The Paper Company)

Embellishments: Green Grosgrain Ribbon (3/8" & 5/8" by DeNami Design), Citron Sparklets Glitter (DeNami Design), White Fun Fluff (DeNami Design), Distress Stickles

Other: Copic Markers, Spica Glitter Pens

Thanks for stopping by my blog and checking out my card!

Now it's time to hop on over to the next blog for some simply stunning creations:

Crafts: Act 1: Scene 7: DeNami Design Product Challenge #4: RIBBON!

In case you haven't figured it out yet from my other blog posts, I love DeNami Design's stamps. They're just so cute, charming, whimsical, and elegant! On top of that, their glitter is amazing (see my previous product challenge entry for glitter), but my new revelation? Their ribbons are fantastic! I've recently purchased some gorgeous DeNami Design ribbons, and I couldn't be more thrilled. Their grosgrain ribbons have a silky smooth finish that is pure elegance. Plus, two words: GLITTER RIBBON. Yeah...you read that correctly. It's FIERCE! For this product challenge, I wanted to really feature the ribbon in an unconventional way, so I decided to replace any background paper with ribbon!

Supplies:

Stamps: Small Poinsettia Blossom, Single Poinsettia (DeNami Design), Happy Holidays (from Holiday Sayings Clear Stamp Set by Hero Arts)

Paper: Pearl Paper (black, ivory, and red by Darice)

Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Ivy (Brilliance)

Embellishments: Grosgrain Ribbons (3/8" black & 5/8" ivory) and Black Glitter Ribbon (DeNami Design), Sparklets Glitter in Ruby Red, Gamma Green, and Extra Fine Iridescent (DeNami Design), Red Rhinestone (unknown)

Other: Copic markers

Crafts: Act 1: Scene 6: DeNami Sketch Challenge #4

Once again, I've completed a card in the final hour. Whew! The current challenge, which ends in just minutes, was to create a card using DeNami Design stamps and the above sketch (created by DeNami Design Team member Sherri). I LOVE sketch challenges, so I didn't want to pass up this opportunity. My inspiration came from holly berries. The three circles on either side of the center piece called out to me to be holly berries. From there, I build the card by gathering some of my favorite DeNami holly stamps.

I'd love to hear from you, so please leave a comment, and if you have any questions about products or techniques, please let me know!

Thanks,

Amy
